This photoessay is a sequel to "Faces of Paradise", an exhibition exploring post-pandemic French Polynesia (Toronto, 2023).
"Faces of Paradise 2" explores a Polynesia more familiar to travellers – the vacation paradise of Hawaii, owned by the US for more than a century, highly developed, and, unlike French Polynesia, easily accessible to the wealthy nations of the Pacific rim.
